In a fast-paced retail environment with large teams, it can be challenging for staff to quickly learn and remember the names, roles, and backgrounds of their colleagues. This often results in prolonged periods where team members do not know each other well, which can create a barrier to fostering a truly inclusive and collaborative environment.

To address this issue and promote diversity within the team, I designed as a personal project, an interactive team directory using Figma, accessible via both mobile and web platforms. This directory features individual cards for each staff member, displaying some of their main details, special badges, and origin flags to celebrate the diverse nationalities and backgrounds of the team.

The directory categorises staff by their respective teams and by connection teams, which are groups that report to specific managers. This structure not only helps team members quickly identify which connection team they belong to but also encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of the diverse backgrounds within the team.

To further enhance visibility, we printed and posted the connection team diagrams in the store, ensuring that all staff could easily see and connect with their colleagues, both digitally and in person. This initiative has not only facilitated better team interactions but has also fostered a more inclusive and cohesive workplace culture.
